Welcome to the Alaska Association for Play Therapy!

The Alaska Association for Play Therapy is a non-profit Board whose mission is to provide best practice training and resources for play therapists across the state of Alaska.  We hope to provide networking opportunities amongst play therapists and share our expertise with other professionals in our community.

Play Therapy is defined by APT as “the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained Play Therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development.” To find out more about play therapy and how play therapy can help individuals heal visit the Association for Play Therapy.
